/ˈtʃɛtʃɪn/; bahasa Rusia: Чече́нская Респу́блика, Chechenskaya Respublika; bahasa Chechnya: Нохчийн Республика, Noxçiyn Respublika), commonly referred to as Chechnya ( /ˈtʃɛtʃniə/; bahasa Rusia: Чечня́, Chechnya; bahasa Chechnya: Нохчийчоь, Noxçiyçö), also spelled Chechnia atau Chechenia, sometimes referred to as Ichkeria (bahasa Inggris: Land of Minerals), adalah sebuah konstituen Federasi Rusia.
Berbatasan dengan Stavropol Krai di barat laut, republik Dagestan di timur laut dan timur, Georgia di selatan, dan republik Ingushetia dan Ossetia Utara di barat, Chechnya terletak pada pegunungan Kaukasus Utara. Ibukotanya berada di Grozny.
Setelah jatuhnya Uni Soviet, sekelompok pemberontak Chechnya menyatakan bahwa mereka adalah pemerintah yang sah, mengumumkan parlemen baru, dan memproklamasikan kemerdekaan mereka sebagai Republik Chechnya Ichkeria. Hingga 2004, kemerdekaan mereka tidak diakui negara apapun. Deklarasi tersebut telah menyebabkan konflik bersenjata di mana kelompok-kelompok Chechnya dan Rusia saling terlibat.
Menurut laporan, pejabat pro-Rusia mengaku bahwa sejak 1994 lebih dari 200.000 pemberontak dan warga sipil telah terbunuh, dan dalam jangka waktu yang sama lebih dari 20.000 anak-anak telah meninggal dan puluhan ribu lainnya menjadi yatim piatu.
