Sunny (lahir 15 Mei 1989) adalah seorang penyanyi, radio DJ, dan presenter televisi asal Korea Selatan. Sunny juga merupakan vokalis Girls' Generation yang didirikan oleh SM Entertainment pada tahun 2007.

Biografi

Sunny lahir di Los Angeles, California pada tanggal 15 Mei 1989. Dia kemudian pindah ke Kuwait sebagai seorang pengungsi. Akhirnya, keluarga mereka pindah ke Korea Selatan sewaktu Perang Teluk I. Dia mempunyai dua orang kakak perempuan yaitu Lee Eun Kyu dan Lee Jin Kyu. Dia adalah keponakan dari pendiri SM Entertainment yaitu Lee Soo Man.Pada tahun 1998, Sunny mengikuti audisi di SM Entertainment dan menjadi trainee selama 5 tahun. Setelah 5 tahun, Sunny ditransfer ke Starworld Entertainment dimana ia masuk ke dalam duet bernama "Sugar" yang tidak pernah debut.Salah satu kakaknya pernah menjadi manager dari duo tersebut, tapi ketika duo tersebut dibubarkan, kakaknya aktif di bagian lain dalam industri musik tersebut.

Pada tahun 2007, Sunny direkomendasikan oleh Iconiq untuk masuk ke SM Entertainment. Setelah 9 bulan Sunny kembali menjadi trainee di SM Entertainment, Sunny menjadi anggota dari Girls' Generation. Sunny memiliki phobia terhadap kembang api dan suara ribut. Alasannya karena kembang api dan suara ribut mengingatkannya pada waktu Perang Teluk I.

Karier solo

Dia adalah co-DJ dari acara radio Chunji sampai siaran tersebut berakhir pada bulan Juli 2008. Dia membawakan lagu tema pada drama Oh! My Lady yang diperankan oleh Siwon berjudul Your Doll. Dia juga berduet dengan Taeyeon dalam lagu tema drama "Heading to Head" dan menyanyikan dua lagu, yaitu Sarangingulyo dan Motion. Dia ikut dalam lagu "Seoul Song" dengan Seohyun, Sooyoung, Jessica dan Taeyeon. Member Super Junior yang ikut antara lain Leeteuk, Kyuhyun, Donghae, Ryeowook, Sungmin, Siwon, dan Yesung.
