Rio Silaen (lahir 24 Januari 1979) adalah penyanyi, penulis lagu, sutradara dan aktor berkebangsaan Indonesia. Rio pernah bersekolah di Bina Vokalia dan dibimbing oleh Pranajaya. Ia pun pernah bernyanyi di hadapan Presiden Soeharto waktu masih duduk di bangku SD. Beranjak remaja ia mengikuti festival-festival musik seperti Cipta Pesona Bintang, Bahana Suara Remaja, juga Asia Bagus. Demi memperdalam musikalitasnya, Rio terbang ke Seoul, Korea Selatan, dan berguru kepada Anthony J Little. Sejak tahun 1999, ia malang melintang di panggung internasional, mengikuti festival, dan menjadi duta kebudayaan Indonesia. Ia juga sering berkolaborasi dengan penyanyi-penyanyi besar Indonesia. Album pertamanya yang bertajuk namanya sendiri, Rio Silaen dirilis tahun 2010, di mana ia sendiri bertindak sebagai arranger, pencipta lagu, juga produser. Rio juga merupakan sutradara teater musikal Opera Batak
