"One for the Road" adalah sebuah lagu dari band Inggris Arctic Monkeys dari album studio kelima mereka, AM. Hal ini dirilis pada tanggal 9 Desember 2013 sebagai single keempat dari album.[1] Single ini tersedia dalam format 7" vinyl,[2] dan digital download, dan fitur B-side berjudul "You're So Dark". Pada tanggal 6 Desember 2013 Arctic Monkeys merilis lagu audio resmi b-side ini ke YouTube.[3]

Musik dan komposisi[sunting | sunting sumber]

"One for the Road" adalah lagu rock[4][5] dengan pengaruh R&B[6] Menampilkan backing vokal dari musisi rock dan produser Humbug Josh Homme,[7] lagu ini juga dilengkapi pengaruh dari band Homme ini, Queens of the Stone Age.[5] Lagu ini dimulai dengan nada tinggi "woo" suara yang dilakukan oleh drummer Matt Helders dan berlanjut dengan "riff chunky bluesy" dan "Americana- dentingan biruan rockabilly."[8]

Sebuah video musik untuk lagu, difilmkan di Mendota, Illinois,[9] dirilis pada 23 Oktober 2013.[10] Itu diambil dalam warna hitam putih, dan disutradarai oleh Focus Creeps, yang sebelumnya bekerja pada beberapa video di 2011 dan 2012, termasuk video "R U Mine?" yang memenangi NME Award. Video menunjukkan gitaris Arctic Monkeys Jamie Cook mengemudi traktor dengan tiga potong pakaian, band mencolokpose di sebuah ladang jagung, dan menampilkan model dan kembang api.[2]
