Three Dog Night adalah sebuah band rock asal Amerika yang dibentuk pada tahun 1967, didirikan oleh Danny Hutton, Cory Wells, dan Chuck Negron. Formasi ini segera ditambah dengan bergabungnya Jimmy Greenspoon (keyboard), Joe Schermie (bass), Michael Allsup (gitar), dan Floyd Sneed (drum). Band ini memiliki 21 lagu hit yang masuk jajaran Top 40 Billboard antara 1969 dan 1975, dengan tiga hit nomor satu.[4] Three Dog Night merekam banyak lagu yang ditulis oleh penulis lagu luar, dan mereka membantu memperkenalkan penulis seperti Randy Newman ("Mama Told Me Not to Come"), Paul Williams ("An Old Fashioned Love Song"), dan Hoyt Axton ("Joy to the World", "Never Been to Spain").
