Suku Karen, Kayin, Kariang atau Yang (Per Ploan Poe atau Ploan dalam Poe Karen dan Pwa Ka Nyaw atau Kanyaw dalam Sgaw Karen; (Myanmar) diucapkan [kəjɪ̀ɴ lù mjó]; bahasa Thai: กะเหรี่ยง or ยาง) merujuk kepada sejumlah kelompok etnis pemakai bahasa Tiongkok-Tibet yang utamanya tinggal di Negara Bagian Karen, selatan dan tenggara Myanmar. Karen melingkungi sekitar 7 persen dari jumlah penduduk Burma dengan jumlah sekitar 5 juta orang.[5] Sejumlah besar Karen berpindah ke Thailand, yang kebanyakan mendiami perbatasan Thai–Karen.
Karen sering disamakan dengan Karen Merah (Karenni), yang merupakan salah satu suku Kayah di Negara bagian Kayah, Myanmar. Salah satu subkelompok Karenni, suku Padaung, paling dikenal karena wanita-wanitanya yang mengenakan cincin leher. Suku tersebut mendiami wilayah perbatasan Myanmar dan Thailand.
