Raja Rao (8 November 1908 – 8 Juli 2006) adalah seorang penulis novel dan cerpen berbahasa Inggris asal India, yang karya-karyanya sangat berakar dalam Metafisika. The Serpent and the Rope (1960), sebuah novel semi-autobiografi yang mengisahkan pencarian kebenaran spiritual di Eropa dan India, menjadikannya salah satu pembuat prosa India terbaik dan memenangkannya Penghargaan Sahitya Akademi pada 1964.[1]
