Michael Chaves (lahir 3 November 1984) adalah seorang sutradara, penulis naskah, artis efek visual, editor, dan produser eksekutif film Amerika Serikat yang terkenal karena karyanya dalam miniseri Chase Champion[1] dan film teater The Curse of La Llorona[2] dan The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It.[3]

Chaves mulai menyutradarai beberapa film pendek termasuk The Maiden, yang memenangkan Penghargaan Film Horor Super Pendek Terbaik di Shriekfest 2016.[4] Dia juga menciptakan serial televisi Chase Champion, dan menyutradarai semua episodenya.[5][6][1]

Dia beralih ke pembuatan film panjang dengan film horor The Curse of La Llorona,[7] The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It,[3] dan The Nun II,[8] semuanya diproduksi oleh James Wan. Dua film terakhir adalah seri ketujuh dan kedelapan dari The Conjuring Universe. Ia juga dikontrak untuk menyutradarai film horor lainnya, The Reckoning, untuk Michael Bay, Bradley Fuller, dan Andrew Form, di bawah naungan Platinum Dunes, dengan naskah yang ditulis oleh Patrick Melton dan Marcus Dunstan.[9]
