Haakon Maurice Chevalier (10 September 1901 – 4 Juli 1985) adalah penulis Amerika Serikat, penerjemah, dan profesor sastra Prancis di Universitas California, Berkeley, dikenal karena persahabatannya dengan fisikawan J. Robert Oppenheimer, yang ditemuinya di Berkeley, California pada tahun 1937.

Hubungan Oppenheimer dengan Chevalier, dan hubungan Chevalier dengan intelijen Uni Soviet, dibahas dalam sidang Komisi Energi Atom Amerika Serikat pada tahun 1954 terkait izin keamanan Oppenheimer. Dalam sidang tersebut, izin keamanan Oppenheimer dicabut.
