Ini adalah sebuah subhalaman dokumentasi untuk Templat:Verse translation.
Templat ini berisi informasi penggunaan, kategori dan konten lainnya yang bukan merupakan bagian dari templat halaman.

Penggunaan[sunting sumber]

Templat ini dapat digunakan untuk menampilkan bait teks pada bahasa asli dan terjemahannya secara bersamaan. Templat ini menampilkan teks asli dimiringkan sedangkan terjemahannya dengan tulisan roman. Penulis bisa memilih untuk menampilkan atribut, untuk teks asli sendiri dan untuk teks terjemahan sendiri. Rangkaian parameter utama templat ini adalah: {{Verse translation|teks asli|terjemahan|attr1=atribut teks asli|attr2=atribut terjemahan}}

Contoh ringkas[sunting sumber]

Dua parameter awal harus ada, tanpa label, sebagai tempat kedua teks. Kode berikut ini:

Ganti baris di dalam kode sudah otomatis ganti baris di tampilan. Markup tambahahan seperti <br> tidak diperlukan. Namun, markup yang ditulis di kode akan diproses di tampilan. Sebagaimana berikut ini, referensi sebaris yang benar formatnya bisa ditambahkan di setiap teks.

Contoh lengkap[sunting sumber]

|attr1= dan |attr2= adalah parameter pilihan, harus dengan label, dan jangan menaruh ganti baris di dalam kodenya. Kedua parameter ini untuk menampung (1) atribut teks asli dan (2) atribut terjemahan. Keduanya bisa dipakai, salah satunya saja, atau tidak sama sekali. Kontennya akan ditampilkan dengan diawali garis pemisah dan sedikit lebih kecil. Teks ini tidak otomatis menyesuaikan lebar kolom; jika penyesuaian diperlukan, <br> bisa dipakai seperti di bawah.

Hilangkan italic[sunting sumber]

Jika |italicsoff= diisi dengan sembarang nilai, kolom pertama tidak lagi dimiringkan. Fungsi ini bermanfaat untuk tulisan asli yang menggunakan abjad non-Latin, yang mana tulisan miring akan sia-sia atau justru tidak laik:

Karakter khusus[sunting sumber]

Seperti pada banyak templat, jika karakter = atau | muncul pada teks bait, keduanya bisa mengganggu tampilan templat. Solusi paling mudah yaitu dengan cara menggantinya dengan {{=}} untuk = atau {{!}} untuk |.

Markup bahasa[sunting sumber]

Hal yang bagus untuk dilakukan adalah menyertakan templat {{Lang}} pada teks bahasa asing.

Meskipun diutamakan untuk bait-bait, templat ini juga berfungsi sama baiknya untuk prosa. Contohnya:
