This template is part of a series that resolves the ISO 639-1, ISO 639-2 and ISO 639-3 codes to language names.
It could be used by the template {{Lang}} with language code ain to include articles in Category:Articles containing Ainu-language text, if the category was created (using {{Category articles containing non-English-language text |Ainu |ain}}). For example: {{Lang |ain |some text in Ainu}}, which wraps the text with <span lang="ain">. Also available is {{Lang-ain |some text in Ainu}} which displays as Ainu: some text in Ainu, har. '{{{2}}}'.
It is used by {{Link language|ain}} to display the language of an external link. This template could add articles to Category:Articles with Ainu-language external links, if the category was created (using {{Non-English-language external links category |code=ain |name=Ainu}}).
