Sthenopis pretiosus adalah spesies ngengat yang tergolong ke dalam famili Hepialidae. Spesies ini pertama kali dideskripsikan oleh Gottlieb August Wilhelm Herrich-Schäffer pada 1856. Spesies ini dapat ditemukan di Brasil, Venezuela, Amerika Serikat timur[3] dan Kanada tenggara.
