John Harrison (3 April [K.J.: 24 Maret] 1693 – 24 Maret 1776) adalah seorang tukang kayu dan pembuat jam otodidak asal Inggris yang menciptakan kronometer laut, sebuah alat untuk memecahkan masalah penghitungan lintang saat di laut.
Solusinya merevolusionisasikan navigasi dan sangat meningkatkan keamanan perjalanan laut jarak jauh. Masalah yang ia pecahkan dianggap sangat berpengaruh setelah bencana angkatan laut Scilly 1707 yang membuat Parlemen Inggris menawarkan bayaran sampai £20,000 (setara £3.09 juta pada saat ini) di bawah Longitude Act tahun 1714.[1]
