Haftarah

Haftarah atau Haftorah (dalam pelafalan Ashkenazi:haftoroh (alt. haphtara, Hebrew: הפטרה; "parting," "taking leave", plural haftarot or haftoros) adalah suatu rangkaian bacaan pilihan dari kitab-kitab pada bagian Nevi'im ("Nabi-nabi") Hebrew Bible (Tanakh) that is publicly read in synagogue as part of Jewish religious practice.

Siapa pembaca haftarah

Secara tradisional haftarah dibaca oleh seorang maftir, atau orang terakhir yang dipanggil kepada gulungan Taurat. Torah scroll.
