Geoffrey Wheatcroft
Geoffrey Albert Wheatcroft (lahir 23 Desember 1945) adalah seorang jurnalis, penulis, dan sejarawan Inggris.[1]
Kehidupan awal dan pendidikan[sunting | sunting sumber]
Wheatcroft adalah putra Stephen Frederick Wheatcroft (1921–2016), OBE, dan istri pertamanya, Joyce (née Reed). Ia lahir di London dan dibesarkan di Hampstead. Ayahnya adalah seorang ekonom, menjabat sebagai gubernur London School of Economics, dan ahli penerbangan sipil, menjabat sebagai manajer Perencanaan Komersial untuk British Airways dari tahun 1946 hingga 1953, sebelum bekerja di berbagai maskapai penerbangan sebagai konsultan independen.[2][3][4]
Wheatcroft menempuh pendidikan di University College School, London, kemudian New College, Oxford, tempat dia mempelajari sejarah modern.[5]
