Perlu tambahan tempat rekreasi & wisata

Kita perlu tambahkan tempat rekreasi dan wisata kota Balikpapan nih. Kalau perlu dibuatin halaman khusus buat deskripsi setiap tempat. Ada teman2 yang mau mulai ndak? Kalo saya masih jauh dari Balikpapan jadi belum bisa ngumpulin data tentang itu. Nanti Insya Allah cuti mulai sedikit demi sedikit. I do not think if parts which require to remove on that page (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Balikpapan) are translated from this article or may have translated a long time ago. Because now some parts in english is not available here.--J Subhi 07:03, 30 November 2006 (UTC)

For example, we had to remove a section that has information found in the following text: Hari jadi kota Balikpapan ditentukan pada tanggal 10 Februari 1897. Penetapan tanggal ini merupakan Seminar Sejarah Kota Balikpapan pada tanggal 1 Desember 1984. Tanggal 10 Februari 1897 ini adalah tanggal Pemboran pertama minyak di Balikpapan yang dilakukan oleh perusahaan Mathilda sebagai realisasi dari pasal-pasal kerjasama antara J.H.Menten dengan Mr. Adams dari Firma Samuel dan Co. I don't understand any Indonesian, but it seems Firma means company. This and other things were translated incorrectly.

In addition, I was not able to find this information anywhere on the Internet except in Wikipedia. Hopefully you have reliable sources to back up these claims. What makes this sound anecdotal and not based on reputable sources is the combination of the exact name "J.H.Menten" with the very imprecise "Mr. Adams".--84.230.90.99 10:07, 30 November 2006 (UTC)

Several web sites also publish this article, in my opinion this is a valid article as from here (Seminar Sejarah kota Balikpapan) Balikpapan birthday decide. Internet may be not achieves this “Seminar” at all. I am going to find out later when I back to that my beloved home town, I think Perputakaan Daerah (District Library) still keep it in any book. Aku pikir sebaiknya tag tak akurat dihapus saja...lagian juga legenda suatu tempat memang agak sulit ditentukan kepastiannya namun diyakini penduduk setempat...trus juga ada tanggal resmi berdirinya kota Balikpapan dan itu sering ada di buku-buku baik instansi pemerintah maupun badan usaha yang beroperasi di Balikpapan misal perpustakaan Total E & P Indonesie salam Zaini Suherly 06:41, 5 Februari 2008 (UTC)
