William Hemsley

William Botting Hemsley (* 29 Desember 1843 di Hoathly Timur, Sussex; † 7 Oktober 1924 di Broadstairs, Kent) adalah ahli botani Inggris.

Hidup dan bekerja[sunting | sunting sumber]

Hemsley bekerja di Kebun Botani Kew di Kew.^[1]

Pada tahun 1889 dia terpilih sebagai anggota ("Fellow") dari Royal Society.^[2]^[3] Dia berkolaborasi dalam karya "Ilustrasi flora Selandia Baru" oleh Thomas Frederick Cheeseman. Untuk "Flora Afrika Tropis" oleh Daniel Oliver dia mengedit bagian "Rhamneae" (di Volume 1), "Campanulaceae" (di Volume 3), "Scrophulariaceae" (di Volume 4) dan "Balanophoreae" (dalam Volume 6).
