RDS-37

RDS-37 adalah bom hidrogen pertama dua tahap dari Uni Soviet, yang pertama kali diuji pada 22 November 1955. Senjata tersebut memiliki hasil nominal sekitar 3 megaton.
Senjata itu diperkecil sampai 1,6 megaton untuk pengujian langsung.
Deskripsi
[sunting | sunting sumber]Rusia pertama kali menguji coba senjata nuklir pada tahun 1949 dengan bom atom "RDS-1". Rusia mengembangkan nuklir untuk mengimbangi keunggulan Barat selama Perang Dingin. Rusia mulai menguji coba bom hidrogen (bom atom dengan fusi hidrogen) pertamanya "RDS-37" pada tahun 1957.
