George Walton Lucas, Jr. (lahir 14 Mei 1944) adalah seorang sutradara film, produser film, dan penulis skenario Amerika Serikat yang terkenal dengan film Star Warsnya dan trilogi Indiana Jones.
Inovator
Selain kerjanya sebagai sutradara dan produser, Lukas juga penyumbang teknologi film modern. Pada 1975 Lucas mendirikan Industrial Light and Magic (ILM) di Van Nuys, California, yang merupakan penemu "crane" kamera dibantu komputer "Dykstraflex" (dinamakan atas penemu efek spesial, John Dykstra) yang digunakan oleh unit produksi efek visual lainnya. Melalui ILM, Lukas menyebarkan pengembangan lebih lanjut grafik komputer, scanner laser film dan awal penggunaan grafik komputer 3D dalam sebuah film. Lukas menjual unit pengembangan komputer awalnya ke Steve Jobs pada 1986, yang kemudian diubah namanya menjadi Pixar.
