Artemas Diamandis (lahir 23 September 1999), dikenal secara mononim sebagai Artemas, adalah seorang penyanyi, penulis lagu dan produser rekaman asal Inggris keturunan dari Siprus.[1] Dia lebih dikenal untuk singlenya berjudul "If U Think I'm Pretty" dan "I Like the Way You Kiss Me".
Kehidupan awal[sunting | sunting sumber]
Diamandis tumbuh besar di sebuah desa di Oxfordshire dan terinspirasi ingin menjadi seorang penyanyi pada usia muda. Dia menonton sebuah film dokumenter mengenai Kurt Cobain yang berjudul Kurt Cobain: Montage of Heck pada usia 16 tahun yang kemudian menginspirasinya untuk menulis lagu.[2]

Pada usia 17 tahun, Diamandis membuat sebuah lagu yang menurut dirinya "lagu rock yang sangat jelek" yang diputar di radio lokal.[3]
Rilis musik pertama Artemas Diamandis adalah single berjudul "High 4 U" pada November 2020. Di tahun 2022, suaranya kemudian dibandingkan dengan Rex Orange County "dengan sebuah petunjuk ke R&B".[4] Pada 24 October 2023, Diamandis merilis single berjudul "If U Think I'm Pretty" yang tidak lama kemudian menjadi viral. Pada Februari 2024, lagu ini memasuki daftar UK Singles Chart.[5] Single ini kemudian mengarah pada rilisnya mixtape berjudul Pretty. Pada 19 March 2024, dia merilis single berjudul "I Like the Way You Kiss Me" yang meraih peringkat nomor satu di Austria, Belgia (Flanders), Jerman, Swedia, Swiss dan Lithuania, nomor tiga di Inggris, dan memuncaki sepuluh besar di berbagai daftar tangga lagu di beberapa negara termasuk Australia, Selandia Baru, Irlandia dan Norwegia.[6]
