Adventures of Sherlock Holmes; or, Held for Ransom adalah film bisu Amerika Serikat tahun 1905 yang disutradarai oleh J. Stuart Blackton untuk Vitagraph Studios.[1] Film ini merupakan film kedua yang didasarkan pada kisah Arthur Conan Doyle Sherlock Holmes, setelah film trik Mutoscope tahun 1900 Sherlock Holmes Baffled, dan biasanya dianggap sebagai upaya pertama untuk memfilmkan adaptasi Holmes yang "serius".[2][3] Skenario oleh Theodore Liebler didasarkan pada novel Conan Doyle tahun 1890 The Sign of the Four.[4]
