Sekolah Teknik Elektro dan Informatika adalah salah satu nama sekolah (organisasi setara fakultas) di ITB yang dipimpin oleh seorang dekan.

Sejarah[sunting | sunting sumber]

Sekolah Teknik Elektro dan Informatika (STEI-ITB) yang diresmikan pada 1 Januari 2006 merupakan gabungan dua departemen di ITB, yaitu Departemen Teknik Elektro dan Teknik Informatika (SK Rektor No. 012/SK/01/OT/2005). Kedua departemen ini mempunyai sejarah yang panjang dalam penyelenggaraan pendidikan tinggi Teknik Elektro (EL) sejak tahun 1974, dan Teknik Informatika (IF) sejak tahun 1982.

Seiring dengan perkembangan Kurikulum 2008 dan kebutuhan masyarakat serta industri STEI ITB membuka dan menambah tiga program studi baru. Hal ini dibuktikan dengan terbitnya SK Rektor Nomor : 268/SK/K01/OT/2008 tentang Pembukaan Program Studi Sarjana Teknik Tenaga Listrik, Teknik Telekomunikasi, Sistem dan Teknologi Informasi tanggal 26 nopember 2008. Oleh karena itu saat ini STEI menyelenggarakan pendidikan sejumlah 5 (lima) program Sarjana Teknik (S1), yaitu

  • Sarjana Teknik Elektro
  • Sarjana Teknik Informatika
  • Sarjana Teknik Tenaga Listrik
  • Sarjana Teknik Telekomunikasi
  • Sarjana Sistem dan Teknologi Informasi

Setiap program tersebut berlangsung 8 semester dengan total kredit 144 SKS. Selain itu STEI ITB juga menyelenggarakan Program Magister Teknik (S2) dan Program Doktor (S3).

Biomedical physics, biomedical transducers and instrumentation, biomedical system design and projects, medical imaging equipment & techniques, telemedicine system, biomedical Imaging & Image Processing, Biomedical Informatics & Telemedicine, Biomechanics & Rehabilitation Engineering, Biomaterials & Drug Delivery Systems.

Bidang Keilmuan:

Computer Architecture, Parallel and Distributed Computer, Pervasive Computing, Computer Network, Embedded System, Human—Computer Interaction, Virtual/Augmented Reality, Computer Security, VLSI Design-Network Traffic Modeling, Performance Modeling, Dependable Computing, High Performance Computing, Computer Security.

Bidang Keilmuan:

Optimal, Robust and Adaptive Controls, Non Linear and Stochastic Controls, Modeling and Identification, Robotics, Image Based Control, Hybrid and Switching Control, Process Optimization and Scheduling, Control and Intelligent Systems, Artificial Intelligent and Expert System, Fuzzy Logic and Neural Network, Complex Adaptive Systems.

Electric Power Generation, Transmission and Distribution, Power Electronics, Power Quality, Power Economic, FACTS, Renewable Energy, Electric Traction, Electromagnetic Compatibility, Electrical Engineering Materials, High Voltage Insulation Technologies, High Voltage Apparatuses, Lightning Detection and Protection, Power System Analysis, SCADA, Electrical Measurements.

Bidang Keilmuan:

To Study Microelectronic System, Electronic Materials, Design and Implementation of Application Specific Integrated Circuits (ASIC), System-on-a-Chip (SoC) and Electronic Instrumentation Using CAD Tools.

Bidang Keilmuan:

Information Search Engine, Multimedia Security, Computer Vision, Information Retrieval, Intelligent System, Distributed Computing System, Mobile Processing, Next Network Generation, Computer Network Security, Natural Language Processing, Business Process, Cognitive Systems, Digital Mark Reader, Optical Character Recognition, Intelligent Character Recognition.
