Leiden (pengucapan Belanda: [ˈlɛi̯.də(n)]  ( dengarkan); dalam bahasa Inggris dan archaic bahasa Belanda juga disebut Leyden) adalah sebuah gemeente Belanda yang terletak di provinsi Zuid Holland. Pada tahun 2003 daerah ini memiliki penduduk sekitar 110.000 jiwa.

Leiden adalah salah satu kota terpenting di provinsi Zuid Holland maupun di Belanda secara umum, meski kota ini tidak terlalu besar. Di kota ini ada Universitas Leiden (Universiteit Leiden) yang ternama. Universitas Leiden adalah universitas tertua di negeri Belanda dan sudah didirikan pada tahun 1575.
