C.W.(BILL) WATSON sejak tahun 2008 keluar dari Universitas Kent di Inggris dimana dia mengajar di Sekolah Antropologi.[1] Setelah itu mengajar di Sekolah Bisnis dan Manajemen ITB. Beberapa artikel yang telah ditulis berkaitan dengan sejarah, antropologi, dan sastra modern Indonesia.[2] Beberapa bukunya adalah Of Self and Injustice (2006), Multiculturalism (2000) and Kinship, Property and Inheritance in Kerinci, Central Sumatra (1992). Kebiasannya membaca Sastra Sunda Modern sebagai gaya hidup sejak 2010.[2]
