Marcus Valerius Martialis (lahir pada bulan Maret antara 38 hingga 41 M – meninggal antara tahun 102 hingga 104 M) adalah seorang penyair Romawi yang berasal dari wilayah Hispania. Ia dikenal sebagai penulis dua belas buku Epigram yang diterbitkan di Roma antara tahun 86 hingga 103 pada masa kekuasaan Kaisar Domitianus, Nerva, dan Trajanus. Di dalam puisi-puisi tersebut, ia membuat satir kehidupan kota dan aktivitas-aktivitas kenalan-kenalannya yang penuh skandal, dan juga mengelu-elukan latar belakangnya. Secara keseluruhan, ia menulis 1.561 epigram, dan 1.235 dari antaranya merupakan kuplet elegi.
Martialis telah dijuluki sebagai pembuat epigram Latin terbesar,[1][2] dan dianggap sebagai pencipta epigram modern.
