English: Cornelis Johannes (Kees) Kaptein (Klaten (Dutch East Indies), March 21, 1915 - Waalsdorpervlakte, July 21 1949) was a policeman in The Hague who was sentenced to death in 1949 for the persecution, beatings, deportation and robbing many Jewish Dutchmen during World War II. After his legal appeal and and request for a pardon were rejected, he was executed by a firing squad on July 21 1949.
