Enigma Publius

Enigma Publius adalah fenomena Internet dan masalah yang belum terpecahkan. Enigma Publius diawali dengan sebuah pesan misterius dari pengguna yang mengidentifikasi hanya sebagai "Publius" ke newsgroup Usenet yang tidak dimoderasi, alt.music.pink-floyd melalui remailer Penet. Penet merupakan layanan pertukaran informasi anonim yang sekarang tidak berfungsi lagi.^[1] Pengirim pesan itu mengajukan teka-teki sehubungan dengan album Pink Floyd 1994, The Division Bell, menjanjikan hadiah bagi siapapun yang berhasil memecahkannya.^[2]

Gitaris David Gilmour membantah keterlibatannya dalam teka-teki ini^[3] sementara artis album Storm Thorgerson tidak mengetahuinya.^[4] Menurut drummer Nick Mason, EMI Records lah yang membuat teka-teki ini.^[5] Masih belum jelas apakah teka-teki itu merupakan teka-teki yang benar-benar dapat dipecahkan sebagai bagian dari kontes Internet awal atau hanya sebuah hoaks yang rumit.^[6]
