Covfefe

Covfefe (/kəvˈfeɪfeɪ, koʊˈfɛfeɪ/)^[2] adalah kesalahan ketik dari kata coverage yang ditulis oleh Presiden AS Donald Trump di laman Twitter, yang kemudian menjadi meme internet. Tagar #covfefe telah digunakan di internet 1,4 juta kali dalam waktu 24 jam setelah cuitan Trump.^[3]

Tak lama setelah waktu tengah malam (EDT), tepatnya pukul 12:06 dini hari pada 31 Mei 2017, Trump menulis cuitan "Despite the constant negative press covfefe".^[4] Setelah sadar akan kesalahan ketiknya, Trump menghapus cuitan itu beberapa jam kemudian, lalu 'menantang' publik untuk menebak arti dari kata covfefe tersebut.^[5] Presiden Trump menjelaskan pada waktu itu bahwa cuitan itu disengaja. Sekretaris pers Gedung Putih Sean Spicer juga menyatakan, "Saya pikir presiden dan sebagian kecil orang tahu persis apa yang dia maksudkan." ^[6]
