BlackBerry OS adalah milik Sistem Operasi Mobile, yang dikembangkan oleh Research In Motion untuk perusahaan BlackBerry garis smartphone perangkat genggam. Sistem operasi menyediakan multitasking dan mendukung perangkat input khusus yang telah diadopsi oleh RIM untuk digunakan dalam handheld, khususnya trackwheel, trackball, dan yang paling baru, yang trackpad dan touchscreen.

Versi terbaru
While RIM develops and releases updated versions of its operating system to support each device, it is up to the individual carriers to decide if and when a version is released to its users. On April 2010 RIM announced the new BlackBerry OS 6.0 version, which was released in the 3rd quarter 2010.[2]
Desas-desus dari 6,1 OS mulai tahun 2011 bersama dengan gambar perangkat lunak baru. Pada 2 Mei 2011, RIM kemudian mengumumkan sebagai BlackBerry OS 7. Ini akan dirilis pada musim panas 2011. RIM mengumumkan bahwa perangkat saat ini tidak akan diperbarui untuk BlackBerry OS 7 (Tidak Dukungan Perangkat Legacy) [3]. - BlackBerry Fonts
The following is a list of fonts that were included in some versions of BlackBerry (note: some of them were not included in older versions):[11][12]
BBAlphaSans and BBAlphaSerif are based on the free software DejaVu fonts.[13]
BlackBerry Tablet OS
On September 27, 2010, RIM announced a new unrelated QNX-based platform, BlackBerry Tablet OS, to run on its recently released BlackBerry PlayBook tablet computer.[14]
QNX is going to completely replace BlackBerry OS as of BlackBerry 8.[15]

Prior to OS 5.0, you were restricted to the fonts installed by RIM on your Blackberry. So if you are trying to get Arial on a pre OS 5.0 device, you can not.
