Mantan senator Tom Coburn dari Amerika Serikat pada 2017 membahas Persetujuan Paris dan menyangkal konsensus ilmiah tentang pemanasan global buatan manusia. Coburn mengklaim bahwa kenaikan permukaan laut tidak lebih dari 5 mm dalam 25 tahun, dan menegaskan bahwa sekarang terjadi pendinginan global. Pada 2013 dia berkata, "Saya adalah penyangkal pemanasan global. Saya tidak menyangkal hal itu."^[1]

Penyangkalan perubahan iklim, atau penyangkalan pemanasan global, adalah bagian dari kontroversi pemanasan global.
