English: Images from NATO exercise Dynamic Mongoose started in the High North on 29 June 2020. Ships, submarines, as well as aircraft and personnel from 6 Allied nations converged off the coast of Iceland for Anti-Submarine warfare (ASW) and Anti-Surface warfare training.Left is HMCS Fredericton is a Canadian Halifax-class frigate (FFH 337) right is UK Duke-class frigate HMS Kent (F78) and centre a German Type 212 diesel submarine.HMS Kent and her sister ship HMS Westminster met with the USS Roosevelt, USS Indiana, HNOMS Otto Sverdrop, HNOMS Utsira, HMCS Frederiction, FGS U36, and FS Casabianca Rouge off the Icelandic coast.Submarines from France, Germany, Norway, United Kingdom and the United States under NATO Submarine Command joined surface ships from Canada, Norway, United Kingdom and the United States. As the host nation, Iceland is providing logistical support in Reykjavik.To enhance the simulated multi-threat environment, maritime patrol aircrafts from France, Norway, United Kingdom, and the United States supported the exercise.In total, 5 surface ships, 5 submarines, 5 maritime patrol aircrafts were participating.
