"Welcome To The Edge" pertama kali muncul dalam serial televisi "Santa Barbara" terhubung ke karakter Robert Barr. Selagi drama berlangsung "Welcome To The Edge" menjadi pusat tema cinta dengan pertunjukan yang ditayangkan selama dua tahun. Selama ini, duo Jepang "Wink" merekam versi lagu ini yang meraih peringkat #1 di Jepang.
Billie Hughes merekam versi baru dari "Welcome To The Edge" mengikuti aransemen Wink.[1] Versi baru ini menjadi lagu tema dari Fuji Televisi acara televisi "Mou Daremo Aisenai." Pony Canyon merilis "Welcome To The Edge" dan meraih peringkat #1, menjual 520,000 kopi. "Welcome To The Edge" juga meraih peringkat #1 International Single Of The Year, di televisi NHK Japan Gold Disc Award show. Billie Hughes menampilkan "Welcome To The Edge" live di Tokyo, bersama dengan MC Hammer yang menampilkan "Can't Touch This."
