The Name of the Rose adalah sebuah film drama sejarah dan misteri Italia-Jerman Barat-Prancis tahun 1986 garapan Jean-Jacques Annaud, berdasarkan pada novel bernama sama karya Umberto Eco.[2] Sean Connery berperan sebagai frater Fransiskan William dari Baskerville, yang dipanggil untuk memecahkan misteri kematian di sebuah keabbasan Abad Pertengahan, dan Christian Slater berperan sebagai Adso dari Melk.
