This template is part of a series that resolves the ISO 639-1, ISO 639-2 and ISO 639-3 codes to language names.
It could be used by the template {{Lang}} with language code de to include articles in Category:Articles containing bahasa Jerman-language text, if the category was created (using {{Category articles containing non-English-language text |bahasa Jerman |de}}). For example: {{Lang |de |some text in bahasa Jerman}}, which wraps the text with <span lang="de">. Also available is {{Lang-de |some text in bahasa Jerman}} which displays as bahasa Jerman: some text in bahasa Jerman.
It is used by {{de icon}}, possibly {{de}}, and {{Link language|de}} to display the language of an external link. These templates could add articles to Category:Articles with bahasa Jerman-language external links, if the category was created (using {{Non-English-language external links category |code=de |name=bahasa Jerman}}).
