Sung Dong-il (lahir 27 April 1964) adalah seorang aktor asal Korea Selatan. Ia memulai debut aktingnya di teater pada tahun 1987, kemudian direkrut melalui audisi bakat terbuka SBS 1991. Popularitasnya naik karena peran lucunya sebagai karakter berdialek Jeolla dalam drama Eun-shil, namun ia berusaha untuk memerankan karakter lain yaitu sebagai hartawan chaebol dalam Love In 3 Colors dan profesor universitas dalam March. Setelah bertahun-tahun berperan sebagai pendukung di televisi, Dong-il memulai debut layar lebarnya dalam film komedi romantis 200 Pounds Beauty pada tahun 2006. Selanjutnya, ia menjadi salah satu aktor pendukung sinema Korea yang paling dapat diandalkan, menampilkan keterampilan komiknya, dan daya tariknya yang mudah dalam film seperti Take Off, Foxy Festival, Children..., The Suicide Forecast, dan The Client.[1][2][3][4] Ia juga menjadi pemeran utama dalam film The Suck Up Project: Mr. XXX-Kisser, Mr. Go, dan The Accidental Detective.[5][6][7][8] Sedangakan di layar televisi, Dong-il dipuji berkat perannya sebagai penjahat di The Slave Hunters dan seorang ayah yang kasar namun perhatian dalam Reply 1997 serta sempalannya Reply 1994 dan Reply 1988.[9]

Dong-il meraih popularitas barunya pada tahun 2013 saat ia dan putranya Joon membintangi Dad! Where Are We Going?, yang merupakan acara realitas/varietas bersama lima selebriti pria dan anak-anaknya berada dalam misi kamp; putrinya Bin juga bergabung dalam musim kedua acara ini.[10][11]
