Roger William Allam (lahir 26 Oktober 1953) adalah seorang aktor asal Inggris yang telah tampil di panggung, film, televisi dan radio.
Ia memerankan Inspektur Javert dalam produksi asli musikal panggung Les Misérables di London, First Officer Douglas Richardson dalam serial radio peraih penghargaan, Cabin Pressure, dan DCI Fred Thursday dalam serial TV Endeavour. Ia juga dikenal karena perannya sebagai Illyrio Mopatis dalam serial HBO, Game of Thrones, Royalton dalam Speed Racer, Lewis Prothero dalam adaptasi V for Vendetta tahun 2005 , dan sebagai Peter Mannion MP dalam The Thick of It.
Ia telah dinominasikan enam kali untuk Penghargaan Laurence Olivier, dan telah menang tiga kali.
Kehidupan awal
[sunting | sunting sumber]Allam lahir di Bow, London, Inggris. Ia menempuh pendidikan di Christ's Hospital dan Universitas Victoria Manchester.[1][2] Ayahnya adalah rektor St Mary Woolnoth.[3]
Kehidupan pribadi
[sunting | sunting sumber]Allam menikah dengan aktris Rebecca Saire, yang dengannya ia memiliki dua putra, William, seorang aktor, dan Thomas.[4][5][6]
Allam mengidentifikasi dirinya sebagai penganut aliran politik sayap kiri, dan secara terbuka mengecam Donald Trump.[7][8]
