Orang Baik dari Berbagai Bangsa (bahasa Ibrani: חסידי אומות העולם, khassidey umot ha-olam "orang-orang yang bertindak patut (plural) di berbagai negara di dunia") adalah sebuah gelar kehormatan yang diberikan oleh Negara Israel kepada orang non-Yahudi yang merelakan hidup mereka saat Holocaust untuk menyelamatkan Yahudi dari penangkapan tentara Nazi.

Perayaan[sunting | sunting sumber]
"Orang Baik" dihormati dengan sebuah hari perayaan pada kalender liturgi Gereja Episkopal (AS) pada 16 Juli. Seorang "Orang Baik" dari Italia, Odoardo Focherini, dibeatifikasikan oleh Gereja Katolik pada 15 Juni 2013.[1]
Orang Baik di Israel[sunting | sunting sumber]
Setidaknya 130 "Orang Baik" tinggal di Israel. Mereka disambut oleh otoritas Israel, dan diberi kewarganegaraan. Pada pertengahan 1980an, mereka diberikan hak-hak pensiun secara khusus. Beberapa diantaranya bermukim di Palestina Mandat Britania sebelum pendirian Israel tak lama setelah Perang Dunia II, atau pada tahun-tahun awal negara baru Israel, sementara yang lainnya datang pada masa-masa selanjutnya. Orang-orang yang datang sebelumnya banyak yang dapat menggunakan bahasa Ibrani dan sekarang terintegrasi dalam masyarakat Israel.[2]
