Oṃ maṇi padme hūṃ[1] (Sanskerta: ॐ मणिपद्मे हूँ, IPA: [õːː mɐɳɪpɐdmeː ɦũː]) adalah mantra Sanskerta enam suku kata yang terutama dikaitkan dengan perwujudan Shadakshari berlengan empat dari Avalokiteshvara, sang bodhisattva welas asih. Mantra ini pertama kali muncul dalam Kāraṇḍavyūhasūtra Mahayana yang juga disebut sebagai sadaksara (bersuku kata enam) dan paramahrdaya, atau "hati terdalam" dari Avalokiteshvara.[2] Dalam naskah ini mantra tersebut dipandang sebagai bentuk ringkas dari semua ajaran Buddha.[3]

Kata pertama Aum/Om adalah suatu suku kata suci dalam berbagai agama-agama India. Kata Mani berarti "permata" atau "manik-manik", Padme adalah "bunga seroja" (bunga suci dunia Timur), dan Hum melambangkan semangat dari pencerahan.[4][5]
