The Daily Beast adalah situs web berita dan opini Amerika Serikat yang berfokus pada politik dan budaya masyarakat. Situs ini tidak hanya mengulas berita di Amerika Serikat.[1] Dalam wawancara tahun 2015, pemimpin redaksinya, John Avlon, menjelaskan pendekatan editorial The Beast': "Kami mencari bocoran, skandal, dan kisah tentang dunia yang terpendam; kami suka mengungkapkan para perisak, orang keras kepala, dan orang munafik."[2] Situs web ini telah memenangi dua Webby Award.

Pada Mei 2018, editor John Avlon meninggalkan Beast dan menjadi analis politik senior dan pembaca berita di CNN. Avlon digantikan oleh editor eksekutif Noah Shachtman.[3]

Shachtman's imperative comes from new heights, too. He is progressing from executive editor of the Daily Beast to editor in chief, a position vacated by John Avlon, the smooth-talking journo who splits his time between the Daily Beast and steady appearances on CNN – where Avlon will be moving full-time as a senior political analyst and anchor.
