Lorenzo Valla

Lorenzo (atau Laurentius) Valla (pengucapan bahasa Italia: [loˈrɛntso ˈvalla]; c.1407 – 1 Agustus 1457) adalah seorang humanis, retorikawan, dan pengajar Italia. Ia dikenal karena analisis tekstualnya yang menyatakan bahwa Donasi Konstantinus adalah sebuah pemalsuan.

Kehidupan awal

Valla lahir di Roma. Keluarganya berasal dari Piacenza; ayahnya, Luciave della Valla, adalah seorang pengacara yang bekerja di dewan kepausan.
