Ikonoklasme Bizantium (Yunani: Εἰκονομαχία, Eikonomachía) merujuk kepada dua periode dalam sejarah Kekaisaran Bizantium ketika penggunaan gambar-gambar keagamaan atau ikon-ikon ditentang oleh otoritas keagamaan dan kekaisaran pada Gereja Timur dan hierarki kekaisaran temporal. "Ikonoklasme Pertama", seperti yang terkadang disebut, berlangsung antara sekitar tahun 726 dan 787. "Ikonoklasme Kedua" terjadi antara tahun 814 dan 842. Menurut pandangan tradisional, Ikonoklasme Bizantium berdasarkan pada sebuah pelarangan gambar-gambar keagamaan yang dibuat oleh Kaisar Leo III dan dilanjutkan di bawah pemerintahan para penggantinya. Pelarangan tersebut diikuti oleh penghancuran gambar-gambar secara besar-besaran dan penganiayaan para pendukung pemuliaan gambar-gambar. Gereja Barat masih mendukung penggunaan gambar-gambar sepanjang periode tersebut, dan berbuntut pada bertumbuhnya perpecahan antara tradisi Barat dan Timur yang pada waktu itu masih menjadi gereja yang bersatu, serta memfasilitasi reduksi atau penghapusan kendali politik Bizantium pada sebagian besar wilayah Italia.
