Pelabuhan Klang adalah pelabuhan utama Malaysia, terletak di distrik Klang di negara bagian Selangor. Pelabuhan ini melayani Lembah Klang, termasuk ibu kota federal Kuala Lumpur dan ibu kota administratif federal Putrajaya.

Pelabuhan Klang awalnya dikenal sebagai Port Swettehan ketika ia didirikan di bawah pemerintahan kolonial Britania pada 1893, dari nama "Residen Britania", Sir Frank Swettenham.

Otoritas Pelabuhan

Otoritas Pelabuhan Klang, didirikan pada 1 Juli 1963, mendaftar tiga pelabuhan di wilayah Pelabuhan Klang: Pelabuhan Utara, Pelabuhan Selatan, dan Pelabuhan Barat.

Pada 2005, Pelabuhan Barat dan Utara telah diswastanisasi dan diatur sebagai kesatuan yang terpisah. Pelbauhan Barat diatur oleh Westport Malaysia Berhad, dan Pelabuhan Utara diatur oleh Team Northport Malaysia. Team Northport Malaysia juga telah mengambil alih Pelabuhan Selatan dan kini digunakan sebagai zona perdagangan bebas.

Pemerintahan

Datuk Zainal Md Deros (BN - UMNO) dipilih pada pemilihan 2004 sebagai wakil untuk Pelabuhan Klang (N46) kepada majelis negara bagian. Dia menggantikan Dato' Teh Chang Ying (BN - MCA) yang memenangkan kursi pada pemilihan 1999.

Dalam istilah munisipalitas, Pelabuhan Klang berada di bawah jurisdiksi Klang Municipal Council. Sebagian besar kota Port Klang berada di bawah Konstitusi Parlemen Klang.
