Isobutanol adalah senyawa organik dengan rumus (CH3)2CHCH2OH (kadang direpresentasikan sebagai i-BuOH). Cairan tidak berwarna dan mudah terbakar dengan bau khas ini terutama digunakan sebagai pelarut baik secara langsung maupun sebagai esternya. Isomernya, butanol lainnya, termasuk n-butanol, 2-butanol, dan tert-butanol, semuanya penting secara industri.
Propanol dan metanol dapat direaksikan untuk menghasilkan isobutyl alkohol melalui kondensasi Guerbet.[5]
