Halloween adalah sebuah film jagal tahun 1978 dan diberi musik oleh John Carpenter, ditulis dengan produser Debra Hill, dan dibintangi oleh Donald Pleasence dan Jamie Lee Curtis dalam debut filmnya. Film tersebut adalah installment pertama dalam waralaba Halloween. Pada 2006, film tersebut terpilih untuk penyajian dalam Pendaftaran Film Nasional Amerika Serikat oleh Perpustakaan Kongres karena "signifikan secara budaya, sejarah, atau aestetik."[5]
