Gerakan hak asasi manusia

Gerakan hak asasi manusia merupakan gerakan sosial dan aktivisme non-pemerintah dalam masalah-masalah hak asasi manusia. Landasan gerakan hak asasi manusia global termasuk perlawanan terhadap: kolonialisme, imperialisme, perbudakan, rasisme, segregasi, patriarki, dan penindasan terhadap masyarakat adat.[1]

Prinsip utama gerakan hak asasi manusia adalah pertimbangannya tentang universalitas: gagasan bahwa semua manusia harus berjuang dalam solidaritas guna mencapai seperangkat kondisi dasar yang diikuti oleh semua.[2]
