David Wheeler (lahir 20 Maret 1963), lebih dikenal sebagai David Thewlis (), adalah seorang aktor dan pembuat film Inggris. Dia telah muncul dalam berbagai genre baik dalam film maupun televisi. Ia telah menerima Penghargaan Festival Film Cannes untuk Aktor Terbaik dan nominasi untuk dua BAFTA Awards, Golden Globe Award, Primetime Emmy Award, dan Screen Actors Guild Award.
Thewlis membuat debut filmnya di Little Dorrit (1987) dan mendapat terobosan dengan peran dalam film Mike Leigh Life Is Sweet (1990) and Naked (1993), memenangkan Penghargaan Festival Film Cannes untuk Aktor Terbaik untuk yang terakhir.
