Sir Arthur Ernest Streeton (8 April 1867 – 1 September 1943) adalah pelukis lanskap berkebangsaan Australia dan anggota terkemuka Heidelberg School, juga dikenal sebagai Impresionisme Australia.
Biografi
[sunting | sunting sumber]Streeton lahir di Mt Moriac, Victoria, barat daya Geelong, pada 8 April 1867, anak keempat dari Charles Henry dan Mary (née Johnson) Streeton. Keluarganya pindah ke Richmond pada tahun 1874.[1] Orang tuanya bertemu dalam perjalanan dari Inggris pada tahun 1854.[2] Pada tahun 1882, Streeton memulai studi seni dengan G. F. Folingsby di Sekolah Galeri Nasional.[3] Pada 2 Juni 1890, ia berlayar ke Sydney, dan tinggal di sana bersama saudara perempuannya di pinggiran Summer Hill.[4]
