Touchstone Pictures adalah perusahaan film yang diluncurkan oleh Walt Disney Pictures pada tahun 1984. Juga bekerja sama dengan beberapa film lain dari Miramax, dan perusahaan film non-Disney seperti Paramount Pictures, DreamWorks, 20th Century Fox, dsb.

Sejarah

Pada akhir tahun 1979, Walt Disney Pictures mengeluarkan film The Black Hole, film sains-fiksi yang memiliki rating PG. Selama beberapa tahun, Disney juga meluncurkan nominasi film tahun 1981, Condorman, film tahun 1982, Tron dan film tahun 1983, Never Cry Wolf serta Trenchcoat. Film-film berikutnya mendapat kritikan hasil dari rating PG.^[1] Film Trenchcoat menuai beberapa kontroversi.

Pada masa mulainya Ron W. Miller bertugas sebagai CEO, Touchstone Pictures didirikan. Film pertama Touchstone ialah Splash yang menawarkan $68 milyar.^[2] Touchstone Pictures juga memperoleh puluhan film pada tahun 2002, dan hingga kni merupakan bagian dari grup perfilman Disney.

Touchstone Television merupakan hasil inkarnasi dari Touchstone Puctures. Touchstone Television memproduksi beberapa serial televisi, yakni The Golden Girls, Blossom, Boy Meets World, My Wife and Kids, Desperate Housewives, Lost, Grey's Anatomy, dan Scrubs.

Pada tanggal 8 Februari 2007, Touchstone Television diluncurkan ulang dengan nama ABC Television Studio, dan kemudian diubah lagi menjadi ABC Studios.
