The Enemy Inside adalah singel pertama dari band progressive metal/rock Dream Theater dari album self-titled 2013. Disampaikan pada halaman Facebook resmi band, lagu ini dijadikan sebagai singel pertama pada tanggal 3 Agustus 2013 dan tersedia untuk streaming oleh USA Today pada 5 Agustus 2013.[1] Sebuah video di YouTube untuk lagu ini diterbitkan sehari kemudian.[2]
Sebuah video musik untuk lagu yang menunjukkan seorang veteran perang yang menderita "gangguan stres pasca-trauma". Hal ini terkenal sebagai video musik Dream Theater yang tidak menampilkan satupun dari anggota band.
Pada tanggal 6 Desember 2013, diumumkan bahwa "The Enemy Inside" dinominasikan untuk "Best Metal Performance" pada Grammy Award.[3]

Selama syuting video musik untuk "The Enemy Inside", Dream Theater yang terhubung pada Save A Warrior, sebuah organisasi yang didedikasikan untuk merangkul kembali veteran perang dan menawarkan rasa aman, program ketahanan berdasarkan bukti-inovatif untuk prajurit yang menderita gangguan stres pasca-trauma. Band ini bekerja erat dengan organisasi dalam beberapa bulan berikutnya.
