Eurabia
Eurabia adalah kata baru atau neologisme sosial-politik, yang berkaitan dengan dugaan Arabisasi dan Islamisasi di Eropa, dan dugaan kapitulasi para pemimpin Eropa untuk pengaruh Islam[1] Ini telah digambarkan sebagai Islamofobia dan teori konspirasi[2] ekstremis.[3]
Asal istilah [sunting]
Eurabia awalnya adalah judul nawala yang diterbitkan oleh Comité européen de coordination des associations d'amitié avec le monde Arabe.[4] Menurut Bat Ye'or, diterbitkan secara kolaboratif dengan France-Pays Arabes (jurnal dari Association de solidarité franco-arabe atau ASFA), Middle East International (London), dan Groupe d'Etudes sur le Moyen-Orient (Geneva).[5] Selama krisis minyak 1973, dengan Masyarakat Ekonomi Eropa (pendahulu dari Uni Eropa), telah masuk ke dalam Dialog Euro-Arab (singkatan Inggris: EAD) dengan Liga Arab.[6] Bat Ye'or kemudian menggunakan judul jurnal Eurabia dalam bukunya.
Pada tahun 2005 buku Eurabia: The Euro-Arab Axis, Ye'or Bat mengklaim bahwa Eurabia adalah hasil dari kebijakan Prancis yang dipimpin Eropa yang awalnya ditujukan untuk meningkatkan kekuatan Eropa terhadap Amerika Serikat dengan menyelaraskan kepentingan dengan orang-orang dari negara Arab. Dia mengklaim sebagai penyebab utama permusuhan Eropa ke Israel, mengacu bersama kebijakan luar negeri Euro-Arab bahwa dia mencirikan sebagai anti-Amerika dan anti-Zionis.
